Here’s another new release, for which i’d been waiting for a while. I knew from the promos and previews it’d be a huge EP but it turns out it’s even bigger than that! Rocket‘s “Suicide in Venice” EP, released by Jet Set Trash, isn’t just a great debut for Rocket but also a great example of what he calls “the new Death.Electro”. Death metal structures and growls meet noisy beats, great orchestral parts and distorted synths in the 4 great originals and the remixes are even greater. ASCII Demon‘s 7 min. long epic remix, with the brilliant Paradise Lost-ish part (one of my favorite tracks of the year), Skitsnygg’s facemelting aggression, Beatbender‘s killer groove and 1ino1eum‘s creative remix make this one hell of a release!
