Hell-o all and we hope you had a great weekend! Ours was pretty wild and even though we might be taking it easy lately with blogging as we are slightly getting in vacation mode too, we find it too hard to neglect our bass banger needs completely, especially when there are some killer releases and new tracks to post. So we might be having a limited number of posts coming the next few days but we can guarantee you they will all be pretty awesome, starting with this partially exclusive premiere of Virtual Riot‘s upcoming LP “There Goes Your Money”. Out on SectionZ on August 2o, “There Goes Your Money” isn’t only a clever LP title by the young and ridculously talented Virtual Riot but also an equally great and intelligent release, packed with 16, yes 16 – you read right, original tracks. Moving between hard hitting drumstep, electro house, glitch hop and pretty much all bass music subgenres you can think of, Virtual Riot‘s debut LP is an extremely balanced and varied release that should rightfully grant him a place among the big names of the particular styles and musical scenes. Vocal driven tracks, with Lisa Rowe’s vocals featuring on “Mind Reader” and “Never Gonna Die”, melodic tracks, darker and most aggressive tracks and pretty much anything you could want and wish for on a release you will find, topped with the studio mastery, great sound design and production skills of Virtual Riot and maturity way beyond his age! So, here are some of my favorite tracks taken from “There Goes Your Money” as well as the album minimix and i hope you all enjoy it as much as we did! Hit play, start saving some money and mark the 20th of August on your calendars as the date to spend it!

I’ll go on with a new relase by a name that has been occupying this blog with his massive sounding bass since the very early Metalectro days, even if he hasn’t been blogged here for a while. So, it’s for the prodigal cat to return on Metalectro and so here comes Katfyr with his brand new debut EP “Here We Go”! The EP was out on SectionZ Records a couple of days ago and well, truth be told, it’s a very big and good sounding dubstep release. Of course if you expect the Katfyr of the past and tracks like “Joint” you might be disappointed but if you’re after a big, loud, quality dubstep release then you’re going to love this one. Reggae vocals, big bass, nice melodies, great production and all those elements you would expect and hope to find on a good dubstep release are present on this EP, although i wouldn’t call it exactly a groundbreaking release. It doesn’t have to be groundbreaking to b e agood one though, so hit play and check this one out by all means!
