Personally and being a fan and follower of Hypomaniacs since day 1, i have to admit not being as impressed with “Brazen”, not because it isn’t a good release but because it feels as if the duo has stopped developing and evolving musically. The aggressive character and bad-ass trademark vocals of Stacey Hypomaniacs in tracks like “Breach” or “Systematic” are being slowly but steadily giving room to melodic vocals and even though the production and tracks are still hard and powerful in their majority they feel as if they are lacking the character or inspiration the previous Hypomaniacs works had. By all means this is a good release and what all fans of the duo would expect by them so you should definitely check it out, even though it feels like there is way more talent and potential to be unlocked with this duo, especially if they want to keep impressing and exciting their fans as they used to do in the past.
