For those of you who checked out or even better enjoyed Against Humanity‘s “New World Order” EP which was released on THU Records last December, you will be definitely glad to know that the “New World Order” Remixes EP is finally available for streaming, including 5 remixes by Troublegum, Brawler, WiseLabs (ex-FetOo), Synapse (ex-Monkey Freakz) and Arkasia. All pretty much artists that those of you following this space for a longer time should be familiar with and recognise despite the new artist names. A remixes EP which, just like the original release did too, follows a mix of hard/trashy Electro sound with elements of Dubstep/Drumstep. A recipe that has definitely worked out well for the French/Egyptian duo in the past no doubt and definitely seems to be working for this “Remixes” EP too, although while listening throughout the EP as a whole at points we felt like quality and overall release dynamics/flow were sacrificed on the altar of fitting more remixes and artists on the same release. Still a nice EP though with Troublegum, Brawler and Synapse being our favorite remixes. Check it out! Continue reading »

Staying on the bassy and underground side of the dirty Electro sounds and going on with one more new release and the 6th (if not mistaken) official EP release by Russian duo The Unique Yagark who no doubt have been making steps forward during the last few months. And if their “Alina” EP, released on Jet Set Trash back in June 2014, was the duo’s best work up to date (which it was) their new EP “Acid Dance” comes along to take The Unique Yagark on a new all time high. Bigger, better, louder and definitely more mature than any of their previous releases, “Acid Dance” EP is solid proof that these guy are not only making big steps forward with every new track they release but leaves the impression that there is a lot more to come by them too. 3 new originals plus 2 remixes by Troublegum and Karluv Klub, which admittedly are a perfect match both in terms of sound and mood with The Unique Yagark‘s originals and a very well balanced release overall that should satisfy the hardcore ravers, trashy bassheads and generally speaking all die hard Electro fans. Check out the preview!

Another new  release we were really looking forward to since it was announced about a month ago was Beef Theatre‘s comeback single “Lazertag”, released just yesterday on Jet Set Trash. It’s been a while since the duo had an official release out so the news of them joining JST Records and working on on a new single were definitely well received on this blog, as well as many of their fans and hard Electro fans out there in general. Besides, the duo has a long story and very rich in hard Electro background and this move to the London based kabel seemed like a fitting move. Staying true to their roots, Beef Theatre stayed on the Electro side of things and made sure that besides lazers, their new single “Lazertag” has some nice energy and bass too. “Lazertag” also features a couple of remixes though, with Troublegum going for a nice Drum & Bass/Drumstep remix and M.A.D.E.S doing what he does best, great atmospheric orchestral Electro House/Complextro with plenty of energy to power up a city block (at least). Definitely a very nice release that puts back on the map for good these hard Electro veterans who go by the name Beef Theatre so you should definitely check this one out!

Hell-o all and it’s that time of the day, the time to get loud and we have just the right stuff as well to serve that purpose with a few new releases. Enough with the build ups and introductions though, lets get right into it and let the bass flow, starting with a new collaboration EP between The Phat Crew & Monkey Freakz that was released on Audiophile Live about a couple of weeks ago. 1 original plus 3 remixes by Rocket Pimp, Troublegum and SubVibe who took an already nice original and took into 3 different but equally nice directions their remixes. Overall a release that should have something good to offer to all Electro House, Glitch Hop and Dubstep fans, so hit play below and check the preview.

Going on with a new, very bassy release and actually with even more fresh blood as this post is about KRANK, a producer from Toulouse/France who has just been mentioned here before, but finally snatched his first official post on Metalectro with his new EP named “Hypermusik” that got released on NOT4KIDS RECORDS just yesterday! Including three originals and two remixes by Troublegum and Eye Dolls, this EP needed a bit to get stride imo as the first two original tracks featured on are not the ones i consider best on this release to be honest, but the remixes as well as the third original coming from then on made up for that! My personal favourites are clearly the remix by Troublegum and the track “Duck Face” by KRANK himself, still this mainly dubstep EP is a nice and decent release overall – so check it out yourselves too!!!
