Muzzy‘s “F Minor Factory” almost slipped unnoticed through our radars somehow but our bass detection systems finally detected it and we’re quite happy they did. Released on Monstercat about a month ago, the UK artist’s new EP comes with 4 original tracks moving somewhere between Electronica, Dubstep and Drum & Bass. A well thought of, nicely flowing release combining Drum & Bass rhythms with more melodic parts, EDM-ish hooks and even powerfull guitar fueled ragers, “F Minor Factory” can get you off your ass and right into the pit/dancefloor while at the same time it can suck you in with its more atmospheric parts. Definitely a fun to listen to and well produced EP with the highlight being “Play”, which minus some vocal parts would make an ultimate banger (but it still rocks anyway). Continue reading »

Weekend Bass 3It’s that time of the week again and even though we haven’t been able to keep up with our bass addiction as much as we’d like to this week, it’s never too late to get the bass cannons loaded with some nasty sounds and get loud, so that’s exactly what we’re gonna do just before we get into weekend mode. From Electro House to Dubstep and Drum N Bass, today’s track selection is packing some serious firepower (and we don’t necessarily mean the label) by Black Tiger Sex Machine and Lektrique, Figure (who hasn’t been blogged here for a while so a big bad “welcome back” to him), Hugeative (who brings some tasty fresh blood in today’s track selection), a massive collaboration by SKisM, Habstrakt and Megalodon and last but not least Muzzy (who just had a new EP out). So, ‘nuf said and we better let the music do the talking, so press play and enjoy!

Here comes yet my last post, as announced shortly before already another bassy release, although to describe this EP named “The Takeover” by Muzzy only as bass music would not even nearly do justice to it imo. By delivering four original drum and bass tunes from rather atmospheric and calmer, up to harder and more dubstep-ish ones, this EP features four great sounding, distinct and eclectic tracks of a very good and very soulful production throghout, starting with the calmest and accelerating pace with each tune. A remix of one of the tracks has already been featured here as well which sadly isn´t available anymore, still this EP that got released on Monstercat just yesterday is definitely great, even though i´d have turned the track order around. That´s it, enjoy this last post and have a cosy evening!!!

Time to trip into rather dub- or drumstep areas, finally a track on which wasn´t held a competition as far i know, actually i think it´s not even released yet since the original itself by Muzzy named “Draining Atlantic” is only available as WIP version so far. It´s also the first time for High Maintenance from Brighton/UK who did this remix being featured here, a straight drum n bass and dubstep producer judging by his Soundcloud account, but in case you´re into these genres anyway i guess it´s worth to head over and give his tracks a listen, as i definitely liked what i got to hear there that is and i´m not the biggest expert when it comes to these sounds as you certainly know. First though hit play and check this great sounding remix out!!!
