Weekend Bass 3It’s that time of the week again and even though we haven’t been able to keep up with our bass addiction as much as we’d like to this week, it’s never too late to get the bass cannons loaded with some nasty sounds and get loud, so that’s exactly what we’re gonna do just before we get into weekend mode. From Electro House to Dubstep and Drum N Bass, today’s track selection is packing some serious firepower (and we don’t necessarily mean the label) by Black Tiger Sex Machine and Lektrique, Figure (who hasn’t been blogged here for a while so a big bad “welcome back” to him), Hugeative (who brings some tasty fresh blood in today’s track selection), a massive collaboration by SKisM, Habstrakt and Megalodon and last but not least Muzzy (who just had a new EP out). So, ‘nuf said and we better let the music do the talking, so press play and enjoy!

Hell-o to all bassheads out there and today we have some pretty dark stuff coming up, starting with a new volume of “monstermania” from the horrorstep master Figure, who had his “Monsters Selected Remixes” Vol.02 released a week ago on his own imprint Doom Music. 6 remixes of some favorite monsters, coming by the likes of Downlink, Twofold, Lumberjack, BlackMask, Dack Janiels and Midnight Tyrannosaurus who all delivered powerful Dubstep, Drum & Bass and Drumstep. No lack of heaviness in this one, as expected and if you have enjoyed the previous “Monster” releases by Figure then you will definitely enjoy this one too so check it out by hitting play below and let hell break lose through your speakers. You know you want to!

Hell-o everybody, i hope you´re fine and ready for some banging tunes! Starting with a big name today that got mentioned here pretty often lately considering his productivity, also with a devastatingly violent track that definitely takes no prisoners and another killer give-away by Figure going by the name “Childs Play“! Been inspired by the new movie “Curse Of Chucky”, Figure -who is a proven expert in all horror matters anyway- decided to compose an ode dedicated to `the little fucker with a knife´and one of his favourite movies while growing up. This one´s also the vocal equivalent to the track “Ade Due Damballa” of his latest release “Monsters Vol.4“, so in case you already sucked that LP in anyway you know about  the destructive drumstep-electro bassacre coming next, in any case prepare for audible warfare, earbleeding madness and if still alive don´t forget to grab your copy too!!!

Staying on the dark twisted side of lovely and full of bass music we so much love and going on with a brand new and highly anticipated release next. Figure‘s “Monsters” Vol. 4 is out on his own Doom Music and let me say that this is indeed a release that does justice to its title. Dark atmoshpere, horror themes, movie samples that have been part of Figure‘s and in fact trademark elements of his music for a while now and of course monster bass is what you should expect from “Monsters” Vol. 4. The LP comes packed with 13 originals, a few collaborations too among them and the tracks move between Dubstep, Drumstep and Electro House, always on the hard side of course. The pretty nice atmospheric interludes help keep the freshness throughout the release and also add to the dynamics of the LP as whole as they glue all the tracks together under one conceptual roof and certainly help make the LP even more fun to listen to. Overall a listening experience you should have, so check this one out!

Staying on the Dubstep side and next i have a track by a name that hasn’t been featured here for a while but is never too far from returning on Metalectro. When it comes to heavy bass and monsters Figure is definitely one of of the experts and even if i am not a big fan of his last EP “Horns of the Apocalypse” as a whole, without saying it isn’t a good EP or that you shouln’t check it out if you haven’t yet, i quite liked this track. Featuring Del The Funky Homosapien on vocals this might not be the heaviest or darkest track we ever heard by Figure but is certainly the one track that imo stood out from the EP released on OWSLA about 1 motnh ago. Definitely a track that should keep most Figure fans happy since it is a pretty heavy one and whet their appettite for what’s to follow with Figure‘s upcoming album “Monsters Vol.04”, for which we will talk another time. For now, hit play on this one, check it out and grab it!
