So, following all the “May the 4th” jokes that took over social media yesterday it’s our turn to have some fun, dark side style, so here comes our “Revenge Of The Fifth” track selection including 5 tracks that we loved during April and think all heavy bass maniacs among you will love too. 5 original tracks from 5 different artists/releases and a mix of Electro, Dubstep and well, Zardonic who if anything transcends Electronic music boundaries and sub-genres more often than not while staying loyal to the Metalectro sound. As for the other four tracks we have chosen to exact our revenge with, Megalodon, Downlink & Terravita, Belzebass and BAR9 are all names that need no introductions and are more than qualified to ruin your neighbor’s day while making yours.

Review: BAR9 & PhaseOne – Why They Need Us

It’s been almost one month already since the release of BAR9 & Phase One‘s collaboration single “Why They Need Us” on Firepower Records and actually it’s been a while since we had any post from either artist or label here so lets do something about that right now. For those of you who are into both melodic and hard hitting Dubstep but somehow and for whatever reason haven’t checked out “Why They Need Us” yet please stop whatever you’re doing for five minutes because you really need to check it out. The UK and Australlian based artists came together to deliver a tune which not only fits perfectly well with what we’re accustomed to hearing from Firepower Records and the specific artists but should also leave all fans and those familiar with the artists sound and style happy and satisfied to the max. South Central “Hollywood EP” The Remixes

Hell-o all and our apologies for what turned out a very silent week in terms of blogging on our behalf, as one half of Metalectro (lady Hellectro) has been striken down by illness and has to stay off bass duty, while the other half (myself) was too busy with trying to improve a few technical things on the site that will help make everything run smoother and better hopefully. In any case, we are back today to close the week in a loud fashion and get the weekend party on and for starters we have a bit of a special on the menu. Most of you should be aware of the release of South Central‘s “Hollywood” Remixes EP by now, out on Dim Mak a couple of weeks ago featuring remixes by Angger Dimas, Bar9, Chris Avantgarde, Haezer and Sawgood. What you might not be aware though is that there were 3 more remixes by The Dirty Papy, TAI and a 2nd remix by Sawgood that never made it on the actual release. So they are all given as freebies and we thought of putting all 8 (official and free) full length remixes in one big full of bass post would be a nice opening post for this Friday! Going on with a preview next of what has been a pretty highly anticipated EP, remixes EP to be precise, since the initial release of South Central‘s “Hollywood” was no doubt one of the most banging releases of the year imo with bangers such as “Armaggedon” and “Jawdrop” so the expectations had to be pretty high for the remixes EP too. It’s been about 10 months since the release of “Hollywood” and now finally we have a first taste and preview of the remixes EP, which will be out tomorrow (on Dim Mak of course) featuring 5 remixes by Angger Dimas, Bar9, Haezer , Chris Avantgarde and Sawgood! Some heavy hitters no doubt on the remixer line up and hopefully the full length tracks will be equally heavy hitting as the reputation that preceeds these artists. Judging from this preview/teaser at least the first samples are encouraging, to say the least, and tomorrow is already shaping up to be a great day in terms of new music!
