Hell-o all and after a break from blogging yesterday it’s time for some mid-week bass and a few nice new sounds. So lets get started and for those of you looking for some nice electro, Megastrom had a new EP out a couple of days ago on Freakz Me Out with 2 new originals that should serve that purpose great. The full sounding Megastrom synths we have heard in the trio’s previous works are back, fresh and even reminiscent at points of the good old hard electro days. “9 Nights” EP is what one would expect as a follow up release after “Remind”, combining the old and new and finding the balance between a more current sound and the hard electro sound you would hear a few years back. Definitely a fun EP to listen to even if it’s not going to be your favorite release of 2014, so here’s the preview and you should absolutely check it out.

Hell-o all and after what i hope was an awesome and banging weekend for everyone, we’re once again here and ready to welcome the new week with some killer electro sounds and bass music. As for what’s on today’s menu, quite a few tasty things so you better stick around and keep your eyes and ears open! Enough with the introductions and greetings though and it’s time to get loud, starting with Megastrom‘s new EP “Remind”. A preview of 2 tracks was posted here recently but now that the EP is out on Freakz Me Out the previews of the rest of the tracks have been made publicly available too so we can all get a better idea of how good this EP is. Personal favorites, the hyper energised “Praise Me” and “WITOY” which are the harder tracks on the release. Not that Megastrom‘s more vocal driven melodic electro house of “Remind” or orchestral electro of “Galactus” isn’t nice too but for my taste these 2 aren’t the tracks to stand out from what is overall a pretty nice EP! Here’s another preview and this one is for an upcoming release and Megastrom‘s upcoming EP “Remind” which will be out on Freakz Me Out on the 22nd of July. Only 2 previews have been made public so far but for what it counts Megastrom had my attention from the very first seconds in the first track preview they posted. “Praise Me” was the first preview uploaded and it’s a killer hard electro track with the full length version only getting even better. “Galactus” is the second track title and preview and it sounds pretty damn good too although going to a more melodic and orchestral direction which gives it an epic and nice grand feel but it’s certainly not the banger on the EP. Overall a very nice preview and a very promising EP release to look forward to by Megastrom and we haven’t even heard all of it yet.

Preview: Cyberpunkers “Whatta Mask” The Remixes EP

Goin on with a preview next which definitely has a lot of potential and is expected to be a big release but to be honest personally i am slightly vexed about after checking the preview. Cyberpunkers had their new EP “Whatta Mask” out on Freakz Me Out recently and now they’re back with a Remixes EP, as expected, since the initial EP release didn’t feature any remixes. So far so good and being a fan of Cyberpunkers too i was looking forward to the Remixes EP, since the originals no doubt have great remix potential. Right from the start though i’m having certain doubts, as the 2 re-edits of “Whatta Mask” and “Ogre’s Ballad” that open the remixes EP make me wonder what the reason for having 2 out of the 3 originals re-edited and re-released so soon is. As for the rest of the tracks, expect some nice but still not fully convincing, personally speaking and judging from the preview, remixes by Access Denied and Megastrom, Pink Is Punk, which sound pretty nice, as well as by Cold Blank, Pyramyth, Baseface, Rusty Warriors and Jaimie Fanatic. I will be definitely looking checking out the full release again and hope to change my mind about it but until then, here is the preview so hit play and see what you think for yourselves.
