Beef Theatre “Lazertag”

Another new release we were really looking forward to since it was announced about a month ago was Beef Theatre‘s comeback single “Lazertag”, released just yesterday on Jet Set Trash. It’s been a while since the duo had an official release out so the news of them joining JST Records and working on on a new single were definitely well received on this blog, as well as many of their fans and hard Electro fans out there in general. Besides, the duo has a long story and very rich in hard Electro background and this move to the London based kabel seemed like a fitting move. Staying true to their roots, Beef Theatre stayed on the Electro side of things and made sure that besides lazers, their new single “Lazertag” has some nice energy and bass too. “Lazertag” also features a couple of remixes though, with Troublegum going for a nice Drum & Bass/Drumstep remix and M.A.D.E.S doing what he does best, great atmospheric orchestral Electro House/Complextro with plenty of energy to power up a city block (at least). Definitely a very nice release that puts back on the map for good these hard Electro veterans who go by the name Beef Theatre so you should definitely check this one out!

Last new release of the day and time to get back to some regular and very loved artists on Metalectro with this one. Dizkodeath is back with the 3rd single of his upcoming LP “Raw” and once again the Germany based artist delivers some seriously impressive and good tunage. “Vendetta” is the title of his new single that was released on Jet Set Trash yesterday and this one is for all those nostalgic of the good old hard Electro days. A great mix of 80’s elements, atmospheric and ravey hard Electro and heavily distorted French Electro, Dizkodeath delivers another quality single. 3 remixes alongside the original by M.A.D.E.S, Krftkds and Freak Slaughter and it’s only fair to say that all 3 remixers have done some impressive work. Overall another great single by Dizkodeath and with the previous 2 singles being also as good as they were, his LP “Raw” is becoming one highly anticipated release no doubt. Check out “Vendetta” by all means!

Hell-o all!! I hope you’re having a good day and week! It’s Wednesday, only two days remain before the week-end and it’s time to hear some heavy stuff right now! Let’s start the daily Metalectro session with this nice remix by M.A.D.E.S of Kavinsky‘s “Roadgame”. After five amazing original tracks, this one is M.A.D.E.S’ first remix, and surely the first of a long list! I have never been a huge fan of Kavinsky and especially of “Roadgame” but the French producer from Lille managed to make his remix more than good. The original track by Kavinsky is for me too slow and too simple but fortunately the ex-half of Whoppers gave it his usual energy and orchestral dimension. So even if you don’t like that much Kavinsky, you should give it a listen, make your own opinion and grab your copy for free!!!

I’ll go on with a double track post next and an artist who might be new under the project M.A.D.E.S but is certainly a producer who has already proven he’s capable of producing some killer tracks since the time he was a part of Whoppers, who aren’t together any longer so M.A.D.E.S came to life. I have to say that this French producer certainly seems to be carrying on from where Whoppers stopped, since his tracks as M.A.D.E.S certainly sound equally good, if not even better imo. Certainly a name to look out for and whose i personally am a fan of, as i was of Whoppers too of course, and would love to hear more from him. For now though and as we wait to see what the future holds for M.A.D.E.S here’s “The Arrival” (Pt. 1 +2), both freebies as well and both pretty nice tracks. Check them and grab them!
