Staying in the dark side of the Electronic music (what a surprise!) and going on with a video by our beloved on Metalectro Frenchmen Christine for the track “Gonna Fear Now” which is available as a free download. And as if a new track by Christine isn’t exciting news already, “Gonna Fear Now” came with a new video too and all those fans of the duo’s aesthetics and style are going to love this one. Horror movie themes with a retro feel, serial killers and gallons of bloody fun, all the ingredients that make a great Christine video are there and the same goes for the track too.  Hard Electro with amn 80’s dark synthwave touch and the characteristic Christine sound, “Gonna Fear Now” is razor sharp and dangerously fun to look at and listen too. So here comes the official video for it and if you enjoy this but somehow you aren’t familiar with these Frenchmen you better get your act together and go check out the rest of their music and videos too!

When talking about great new releases it would be a sin not to spend some time talking about Dizkodeath‘s debut album “Raw”. Out on Jet Set Trash, “Raw” is definitely a long awaited and anticipated LP and it was worth the wait by all means! The German artist had been already leaving very good impressions and therefore had our support on this blog since the very early days and his “Fear” Free EP (which was a Metalectro Exclusive Free EP) but he has certainly grown a lot since then in every way an artist should. Since then he has evolved his style into a hard Electro – Indie Dance kind of mix, influenced heavily by Justice and the hard French Electro scene with a Punk Rock edge and attitude and a Disco groove (see “Over” feat. Dana Jean Phoenix). His 4 lead singles “Revolver”, “Wizard”, “Vendetta” and “Orchid” released over the last 12 months with some big remixes definitely attracted quite a bit of attention on the up & coming and super talented artist and he in his turn didn’t fail to deliver and keep impressing with his LP. “Raw” includes 8 new and previously unheard original tracks and really there is not one boring second throughout the whole album. Definitely an LP that packs a lot of inspiration, as well as raw power and style, especially in an era that the Electronic music world is plagued by a soulless cookie cutter ‘sample library’ mentality that leaves a little to no room for creativity. Dizkodeath just doesn’t care to follow any of that mentality and that’s another plus for the artist to be added on top of the already huge “Raw” LP. Simply put, all fans of hard electronic music should listen to this album!

Another great Electro that hit the stores last week comes by a German artist who goes by the name Dizkodeath. Of course, those who have been checking and following this space are probably aware of the name and the music that follows since Dizkodeath is far from a stranger on this blog. His 4th single release, titled “Orchid” was out last Monday on JST Records and if you have checked the previous 3 singles from Dizkodeath‘s upcoming album “Raw” then you have to agree on 2 things. First that this is an excellent follow up single (something in which both the origina and the great remixes by Gost, Christine and Perturbator have contributed towards) and second that Dizkodeath‘s album “Raw” is going to be one of the biggest albums released in 2014 for all fans of the hard, dark and in this specific case pretty damn groovy Electro. So, check out “Orchid” and stay tuned for more Dizkodeath!

Next-to-last i have a new release by Christine for you, even though i honestly just noticed now that –according to iTunes– there are actually more tracks available than being featured in this set. Anyways, i picked this one already so let´s scope it out nevertheless! It´s the “Death On Wheels Remixes” EP that has been released on the 7th of July on Moonkeysmusic already, and the set i´m posting hereby features altogether four pretty varying remixes, 3 of the track “Too Much Is Not Enough” by Claek, Naive New Beaters and Henry Savage, plus another one by the men themselves – Christine, who also delivered a remix, different version respectively of their track “Death On Wheels”! Judging by the guitar level the Henry Savage remix is of course my favourite, but since all of them are pretty eclectic anyways, ranging from slight dark electro, guitalectro, synth-wave-pop to rather dark-techno style-wise, i guess it´s best you check the tracks out yourselves anyway – so go for it!!!

Supplement: Meanwhile the remixes by Psykoes and Clyde P are in the set as well, enjoy listening!!!

Going on with another new release and this one is as new and fresh as it gets really since it was just out yesterday on Moonkeys Music and a release that brings back on Metalectro a name we like and love, Christine. Needless to say that if you are reading this post and aren’t yet familiar with Christine you have some homework to do and this is as good an introduction as anything by Christine really. The “No Way Remixes” EP features 1 radio edit of the original mix plus 4 remixes by The Dirty Squirrels, 1906 (the 2 remixes we have picked to post here today), The Name and Mag Spencer. Great work by both The Dirty Squirrels and 1906 who have delivered 2 remixes that kept the original’s character while at the same time adding their own elements. If you’re after some dirty French Electro just hit play and check these remixes out.
