Starting the week with some fresh blood and some fresh music by The Encounter. An artist whose music has been in our radar for the last few months, although we only now got around to write about it since the New Jersey, USA, based artist had his new album “Bad Mood” out. Self-released a couple of weeks ago The Encounter‘s new LP comes with nine original Electro tracks, with some of them moving towards a more slow, stripped down and almost hypnotic Synthwave/Retrowave direction, while others follow a more hi-energy hard Electro or even Future Techno influenced approach.
French duo Christine grace us with their presence once more on Metalectro and of course the release of their LP “Atom From Heart”, which was out a few days ago on Uprise Music. The album consists of eleven original songs, with eight of them being brand new and previously uheard ones with the rest three being the two lead singles/videos “Howling Wave” and “Drama” (feat. T La Rock) plus an instrumental version
Been a while since we had an all out Drum & Bass release that we really enjoyed throughout to write about but when a new Blackout Music single is waiting in your inbox that has to be a good sign. Besides, it’s no secret and everyone who’s been following the blog for a while now should already know we’ve always enjoyed most music coming by the Netherlands based heavyhitter label, even more so when it comes from the label bosses Black Sun Empire. And as interesting and exciting it is to finally have some new music by the trio to writte about, things get even better when you realise that their new single features also Noisia
A montly series of Playlists and selection of tracks blogged, uploaded on the channel or featured on the Metalectro pages during this month in one way or the other. Please note that due to some of the tracks being available only on Soundcloud or Spotify (for whatever reason) the track selection might be slightly different between Soundcloud and Spotify. The good news is that a version of this monthly Playlist series will always be available on both services for streaming so you can feel free to pick your poison. A big thank you to all for listening and checking out the blog/channel, to the labels for the promos of their releases they keep sending us and most importantly to the artists themselves for the great music. Enjoy!
Continuing our descend into the darkest depths or Electronic music’s underground (yeah well, what else is new right?) with a new artist and release by USA based producer Mr. Kristopher, which was out last week on Jet Set Trash. “Communion” is the title of Mr. Kristopher‘s new EP which comes with 5 original Electro (House) tracks. But don’t be fooled by the “genreficiation” we went with because “Communion” is everything you wouldn’t really expect from what is normally considered or perceived as Electro House these days and is definitely no main-stage/EDM material, it most deifinitely is dancefloor burner stuff without a doubt though. Heavily influenced by Industrial/EBM and the dark side of Techno,
